Automated processing of farmer payments

We have developed a proprietary payment processing system (named advances), that is linked to all major payment channels (e.g. Pesalink, Mpesa and all major saccos). This system enables off-takers who buy produce from large numbers of farmers to settle farmer dues in real-time from one central point. This allows for quick clearing of farmers’ payments while minimizing on otherwise expensive transaction charges.

By charging a standard fee of USD $0.65 per transaction, we remain as one of the most affordable options for the handling of bulk farmer payments (our competi- tors charge an average of USD $1 per transaction). Launched in 2018, this system has grown exponentially to process over 300,000 transactions annually, clearing over USD $26 Million in farmers dues in FY 2021.
